Haunted House

So my husband and I have been looking for a historic home for some time. We came close with a couple in the past, but it didn't work out in the end. The last one needed too much work. Work I wasn't willing to invest.

Anyway, we've found another home. It definitely has potential. Although, it needs a lot of work, too. But it's work I feel we can do.

Anyway, the other night I dreamt of the house. In my dream, it was haunted by three little girls. I chalked that up to my vivid imagination.

Yesterday, we went to visit the home. My husband was upstairs with the realtor. I stayed downstairs. As I stood by the staircase, from somewhere behind me, I heard giggling. There are no other homes within miles of this house, so it wasn't likely anyone outside. As far as I know, no one was anywhere near the house. I listened for more, but nothing. Then I heard breathing beside my ear. This entire time, I heard my husband and the other man talking. So it wasn't them. Then, I felt something tug on my hair.

When the man came downstairs, I asked him if the house was haunted. What he said next was spooky. He explained that he'd spent some time in the house in the past. He told me the noise level got so bad he started bringing his radio to block the sound of boots walking upstairs. And the sound of children giggling and playing. Gulp. Did he say giggling? Yes, the exact noise I'd just heard. He didn't know I'd heard giggling. He said sometimes he felt his clothing being tugged, too.

The house is beautiful, but like I said, it needs work. Do I want to do the work and live in a haunted house? I don't know. I always said I did, but now, I'm not so sure.

As for my dream, it had to be a coincedence, right?


From this picture you can tell how much work needs to be done. There's trash on the porch. Overgrown lawn and weeds. Painting, etc. And that's just the outside. But how cool would a Halloween party be there?
